Introducing Foxy Shazam

On the back of the promotional copy of Foxy Shazam's debut CD Introducing, we are told that they are the self-proclaimed "Evel Knievel of rock 'n' roll." ?There is nothing wrong with metaphors like this, as sometimes they stick and bands are remembered in conjunction with these tags-such as the Clash called "the only band that matters" or Public Enemy being "the black CNN.

Weekend Events

Foxy Shazam Jan. 19 Foxy Shazam, whose debut album is reviewed on page 7, performs at the Bethel Christian Academy on Saturday, Jan. 19, with special opening guests Karate High School and Peachcake. Duquesne Symphony Orchestra Concert 8 p.m., Jan. 22 The Duquesne Symphony Orchestra is performing its annual concerto competition concert, featuring soloing students from the Mary Pappert School of Music.
